Product Description Hoover, Tempo Bagged Upright Vac, Headlight, Deluxe Stretch Hose, 15" Cleaning Width, Includes Deluxe Set Of Attachments.
Amazon.com Review The Tempo WidePath features a 15-inch cleaning path for super fast vacuuming when you need it the most. Plus, the WidePath cleans indoor air while you vacuum, thanks to an innovative allergen filtration system that traps 100 percent of dust mites, 99.98 percent of ragweed, and common grass pollens for cleaner breathing and fresher air. A powerful, 12 amp motor provides ample suction and doesn't leave anything behind. A brilliant headlight illuminates the cleaning path to ensure thorough vacuuming. Onboard tool storage keeps attachments, such as a dusting brush, furniture nozzle, crevice tool, and two extension wands in close reach. A smaller profile (approximately 33-1/4 by 18-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches) and lighter overall weight makes the Tempo WidePath easy to push, and easier to maneuver around and under furniture, too. And, your purchase is covered by a Hoover one-year warranty. Get a Tempo WidePath, and never get behind on the housework again! --Brian Olson

Awesome vacuum at a great price January 5, 2009 M. Alberts (Huntley, IL United States) In this economy you need something that is affordable yet can do the job. This vacuum fills both those needs. Most powerful vacuum I have used which I need for pet hair. I agree with all that say this is better than the bag-less versions as it does not smell and easy to replace the bag. Consumer Reports had it dead on as this vacuum beats most if not all more expensive ones that are just needed to vacuum carpet and flooring.
GREAT for price January 4, 2009 T. Faust (Virginia) This vacuum is awesome. My carpets look fluffier and more luxurious everyday. The price is amazing for the quality of vacuum you get. For that price it's definitely worth a try. Because I was switching from a bagless I thought bags would be a hassle but am actually quite happy that I don't have to deal with the dust and dirt coming out of a canister. I will mention that this vacuum is loud, like airplane, jet-engine loud but I can tolerate it because the carpets look better than they ever have and I loved the price.
Great Value December 30, 2008 Archi Techer (manchester, ct United States) If you're looking for an allergy vacuum, save money and get this one, because no vacuum really functions well for that purpose, no matter how expensive it is or how many HEPA filters it has. Why? Because all portable vacuums that suck also blow. The greater the suction, the greater the velocity of the air they blow out. And the wind they create stirs up allergens from your floor and furniture into the air, where they float until you finish, then settle back on the floor and furniture. So, for the money, this is a great little machine. I only have two complaints: first, I keep running over the electrical cord. You're supposed to be able to attach it up the back of the cleaner, but the picture in the instruction book is different from the vacuum, so I couldn't figure it out. I may just use a twist tie to secure it. Second, the "bag full" indicator stopped working after I changed bags, but this is my third vacuum with an indicator, and none of them work, so I guess it's normal. But it's a Hoover, it's powerful, and inexpensive. I recommend it.
NO STAR Quality/ No Star CUSTOMER SERVICE/ WINDTUNNEL by Hoover December 29, 2008 The Purple Bee (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't believe I bought this vacuum based on reviews here on Amazon and feel so disappointed with this vacuum cleaner which only breaks belts. After using 3 times and it braking 4 belts, I would say it is defective but because the 30 day time limit is up with Amazon, they will do nothing! I called the Hoover HELP line..HA! After waiting 15 minutes listening to how a am a valued customer and please stay on the line, a consumer specialist came on the line. She told me I'd have to take it 60 miles to my local service warehouse to be repaired. She said it sounded like it has a defective rollerbar which is breaking the belt. Now if this were my local Costco, there would be NO PROBLEM but I have no intentions of driving 60 miles to drop this off, nor make another trip to pick it up, nor am I going to pay postage to send it for repair. Let this be a lesson to anyone purchasing large items from Amazon that may need repair. Buy local or at your local Costco so you'll be assured of a return on an over 30 day purchase. I have today purchased another vacuum cleaner at Costco and will throw out this useless HOOVER TEMPO WIND TUNNEL that came so highly recommended by AMAZON CUSTOMERS. I'm really disappointed in HOOVER's Customer Service and with their Consumer Relations. As far as I can see it is also a big ZERO! I will NEVER buy an appliance from Amazon again. It's not worth the hassle to save a few dollars and have NO SERVICE AVAILABLE to repair to replace a defective vacuum cleaner or to have to spend gasoline and 3 hours to maybe get service.
Wow! I was surprised! Great if you have pets December 28, 2008 Melinda (Inland Empire, California) After my last Hoover, which I had for years stopped working, I took on the task of buying a replacement vacuum. I knew I wanted a Hoover. After seeing how many different ones were on the market, I was very overwhelmed. I decided to buy this vacuum as a "temporary one" (until I sorted through all to find the right one) since it was so cheap that I didn't expect it to be very good. I was soon to be proved wrong. It was easy to put together. I decided to try it first in my "animal room" which is an extra room that has a door leading to the backyard and seems to be a hangout for my pets. Wow! It worked great!! It was really easy to push. It picked up everything on the rug and on the floor, including all pet hair! Let me explain and emphasize here . . .I have 2 dogs (one being a shepherd), and 6 cats . . . This vacuum kicked butt and did an awesome job! Now I'm thinking it won't just be my "temporary one". :-)
