Amazon.com Review This bowl is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert--its generous size, simple classic design, and sturdy construction make it great for everyday family use and dresses up nicely for fancier dining. The capacity of each bowl is a hefty 2-3/4 cups--plenty for dinner-size portions of beef stew or pad thai. You can even reheat leftovers right in the dish, as this little trouper goes from oven to fridge to microwave to dishwasher without complaint. Thick sides are a plus for retaining temperature. Prechill the bowl for a few minutes for an ice cream sundae par excellence. --Jill Lightner

Used in the Disney movie "The Kid." January 19, 2004 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
We won a set of these bowls (Ancien pattern) that was used in the 2000 Disney movie "The Kid" (Bruce Willis) in an auction. One of the bowls was in the scene with young Rusty sitting on the floor watching TV). I was very pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this dinnerware. The four set proudly on display in my hutch, but I have used them often because I like them so much! -Cindy
BIA makes a great product February 20, 2002 M O'Rourke (Cape Cod, MA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have a set of bowls made by BIA that I picked up at a local... store, and have been searching for more since that day! I LOVE these bowls. They are absolutely perfect for a good helping of noodles, or red lentil dal, soup or chowder. They also can double as a serving dish for a side of veggies. My bowls are high on the sides and resemble a rice bowl. This picture makes the product look a bit more rounded in comparison to what I bought. But in any other way, they are the same. I love them. What else can I say?
Great for Everyday Use June 19, 2000 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I love these bowls! I use them daily for cereal (I like a big bowl of cereal). They're heavy, sturdy, and easy to clean. The bottom is a little rough though, so it might scratch a wood table.
