Product Description 15-ounce FRENCH WHITE(R) Oval Dish White fluted design delivers classic style that is the perfect complement to any decor. From freezer to oven or microwave to table. Tight fitting and durable cover that helps keep food fresher longer. Perfect for storing leftovers and make ahead meals. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Amazon.com Review Home cooks who remember CorningWare from the 1950s should know that this bakeware is not old-fashioned--on the contrary, it is just as useful and convenient today as it was when their mothers first started using it. The French White series of bakeware has an updated fluted exterior and is a versatile vanilla white color that matches any dinnerware and kitchen decor. This 15-ounce oval dish measures 7-1/2 by 5 inches and is sized perfectly for baking and serving single entrees or gratins, storing leftovers for one, or freezing individual meals for later. Made of stoneware, this dish is safe to move among the oven, microwave, and freezer and will not experience any cracking with temperature changes. The plastic cover has a self-sealing gasket along its edge to keep food fresher while being stored in the refrigerator or freezer. The cover is also safe for use when reheating food in the microwave. Both the dish and lid are dishwasher-safe (top rack only for the lid) and are designed to clean easily without trapping any food residue. CorningWare provides a one-year limited warranty on both pieces. --Cristina Vaamonde

Corning Ware December 14, 2008 P. L. Watkins (Central California) Just what you would expect form corning. Durable, nice design, functional. I have several pieces of bake ware I some times use for serving as well. Excellent products.
best for baking April 4, 2007 Oz (Atlanta, GA USA) corningware as stoneware and Pyrex as glass are the best bakewares for baking breads, cakes, muffins, etc., I bought this 15 oz. size instead of ordering 4 piece 4-oz. ramekins. So the size is OK for me. I used to bake with aluminum foil in gas stove; however we had to move and our new place has electric stove. Unfortunately, aluminum foil does not bake good in electric stoves. So I switched to stoneware and glass recently and corningware is my favorite!
bad fit March 26, 2007 J. Knutson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The oval dish was as I expected but one of the covers doesn't fit. The other cover fits both dishes but is difficult to use even when I preheated it under hot water to stretch it out.

I like the product. I am disappointed that it is no longer made in North America.
Only ONE lid and it's PLASTIC February 10, 2007 Linda Bruno (Arizona) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I ordered this because it says: "Glass and plastic lids make cooking, serving, and storing easy and convenient". Glas and plastic lids - sure shounds like there are more than one lid there. Lids - plural. Silly me, it only came with one plastic lid. I contacted coustomer service and they were getting ready to send another one just like it. I finally got them to check to see how many lids and what kind of lids were included. I wish someone would proof read the ads. It's a nice little dish with ONE PLASTIC LID and NO GLASS LID.
