These are an excellent value for the price. They are thinner than Corning, smoothly finished (just like the pricier Pillivuyt) and cook evenly and clean up nicely in the dishwasher. Like them so much I just purchased the round gratin dishes by HIC Porcelain. Best of all, didn't have to waste time and gasoline trying to find them locally.

Bought these last year and just love them. They are thin, so they heat quickly and easily. They are very smooth, so cleanup is also just great, even for burned on food. We cook salmon fillets in them and use them at least once every two weeks. I also bought some larger Corningware ovenware at the same time because I wanted larger sizes, but the Corningware is too thick and I hardly ever use them. That's why I'm ordering another set of the HIC porcelain au gratins. They are a wonderful, useful product.

Bought these for a relative who was looking for au gratin dishes. She loved them enough to ask for another set the next year. I'd say they were recommended.
