DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY January 4, 2008 Michael R. Heckman (cuyahoga falls, OH) 2 out of 18 found this review helpful
What a joke. These Le Creuset Stoneware Petite Casseroles have no purpose. They are 100% smaller than I thought. They are usuless and waaaayyyy overpriced. They aren't worth 5 bucks a piece let alone the $14.99 a piece I paid and I bought 8 of them. save your money! don't buy these!
Classic November 5, 2007 J. Eason (Chapel Hill NC) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I ordered this item with some trepidation as it was not well reviewed. My sense was the reviews were the result of initial color mis-shipments and it turns out that I received the blue item I ordered. To be sure, it is barely larger than an ashtray but the design and color perfectly match other Le Creuset pieces. It would be good for custards or condiments or servings of fruit, vegatables, custard or pudding (yes, I know this is not conventional). Basically it is well priced for a quality product. It show both utility and decor. And earns its five stars.
Weird color, cute casserole February 6, 2007 c'est moi (USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've got just about every Le Creuset color in existence, so why not try out kiwi? It's an oddball color, I think, but this little casserole is soooo cute. I used my petite casseroles recently for serving French onion soup & it's an excellent individual serving size for this. Keeps the soup warm and I was able to put them all in the oven to broil momentarily for the Swiss cheese & slice of French bread on top. It's rather expensive for the size, though, so it gets knocked down one star for price.
WHITE!!! January 17, 2007 D. O'Connell (MN USA) 8 out of 25 found this review helpful
Like everyone else...mine were white also. Dishonest, creepy marketing? I do know that red pigment is the most expensive so Amazon probably got a deal and their customers get a white elephant sale so they can unload them. After many years of absolute trust!...this puts Amazon in a new light. This has gone on so long (we all trusted them to take care of it...right? It's why we ordered anyway...even after all the other complaints)now it's nothing less than a lie...and this review is not spiteful it is truthful. THERE IS NO RED!!! (I know you won't post this...but I'll bet all the others you fooled would cheer!)
Another White One January 16, 2007 M. Murphy 6 out of 21 found this review helpful
I too just received my Petite Casserole in white too. I thought after reading that many others got white by mistake that the problem would be corrected. I am returning my "white" casserole and hope that I will be able to get the "red" one that I ordered.
