Product Description Make traditional Danish filled pancakes with this sturdy cast pan from Norpro. Measuring 6-1/2 inches in diameter, the pan will fit on one burner and makes up to 7 pancakes at once. The cast iron pan will need to be seasoned before use, but once the pan is properly prepared, it develops a virtually stick-free surface. Instructions for seasoning and usage are included, along with a traditional Aebleskiver recipe.

great pan August 27, 2008 Matthew Hager (Colorado) This is a great little pan! My daughter loves eating little pancakes and muffins, all we've made so far. For her the size of the cakes is just right. The extras are great for snacks or freezing for later use. Line up the outstide cups on the burner grate and it works fine. The pan is cast iron sooooo wash it in hot water, rinse in hot water, towel dry then heat it on your stove top on low heat. While it is still warm, smear a good layer of vegetable shortening on it, set it in an aluminum foil pan, and bake it at 250 - 300 for an hour. Turn off the oven and leave the pan inside until it is cool. The pan is now seasoned, yeah! After you use the pan wash it in hot water, rinse in hot water, towel dry and heat it on a burner on low heat. When it is dry I spray it with cooking oil and let it set for another minute then turn off the burner, it is then ready to use next time. Standard operating procedure for all my cast iron.
small and wonderful May 15, 2008 T. Luther (NY, NY) Love this pan! I had a hard time finding one without nonstick coating and this is it! After seasoning it once, nothing sticks to the cast iron. I had some reservations before purchasing b/c reviewers said it is so small. It is small, but actually the perfect size! Buy it!
help? May 5, 2008 strangelittlegirl I don't understand what is up with this pan! I got it and seasoned it as stated, but when I washed it, it got a rusty coating on it, that stains anything it touches. I didn't use soap on it, only water. It is now sitting in my garage and will probably end up in the trash. At least it only costs me 9.00.....
Great little cast iron pan! May 3, 2008 D. Franz (Athens, Ohio United States) I had good luck on my first try (see picture above if I did this right), only because I've been collecting cast iron for a while and experimenting with seasoning it. This is a nice pan--you don't need to spend more money.
Aebelskiver Galore! April 16, 2008 Chiffonade K. (Florida, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This pan is by far the best value in an Aebelskiver pan. Resist the temptation to buy the one advertised on TV. The cast-iron construction of the Norpro pan makes it superior for cooking and durability. I made the little pancakes the day I got the pan using the recipe that came with it. How fun! And the possibilities for stuffed pancakes, both sweet and savory! Use a skewer to turn the pancakes to cook them on the top side. If you are considering an Aebelskiver pan - make it the Norpro!
