Yeah, yeah, yeah. We have mixing bowls we could use for this purpose, but would break up the set. The thing I like about this bowl is the depth to height ratio. I have been looking for a bowl in a different color to match my kitchen with the same dimensions and have had NO luck. This bowl is much deeper to the diameter of the bowl than a normal mixing bowl.

This is a nice bowl, though I never use it for garbage (old large margarine tubs work great for that). It's a great size for many things including salad, popcorn and as a medium mixing bowl.
