Good Book November 19, 2008 Chris (Vermont) I'm enjoying this book. It seems to require some non-staple items but so far my husband and I have liked the meals. They are healthy also, which was the main reason for the purchase. I would reccomend this book.
This is a MUST have cookbook!!! October 10, 2008 moonlight 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love cooking, but I was tired of spending hours trying out recipes that in the end had no real flavor and were not worth all the time I put into them. I decided to give this book a try and ever since I have been obsessed with cooking. The recipes in this book are really quick to make and have more (and better) flavor than most of the recipes I would spend hours preparing. Thanks to this book I'm cooking all the time and loving the results! Definitely recommend it!!! Whether you are new to being vegetarian or have been a vegetarian your whole life like me, you should get this book! You won't regret it!!
Truly fast and easy! May 14, 2008 JHawkMom (the Heartland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I like this cookbook because the ingredients are common and easy to find. Often I can throw something together with what is already in the cupboards. This is a refreshing change from recipes which require a lot of prep work or exotic ingredients. Vegan options are provided if desired. I first checked this out from my local library and liked it so much I bought my own copy.
It's not what I thought it would be May 11, 2008 wwgrl (ALABAMA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received this today and well I'm a little disappointed. It is true that most of the recipes seem easy to make and use packaged, frozen, or canned ingred. It's just well most of these recipes use things I really don't use. There might be a handful that I want to try. Another thing she uses beans in alot of the recipes. I thought it would be better. I bought a cookbook a couple of days ago I like much better called Hungry Girl Recipes. Another thing I really didn't like the layout of the recipes (I don't like 2 recipes on the same page) Just a preferance.
Super vegetarian/vegan cookbook!!! February 26, 2008 shannontk (austin, texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am thrilled that I purchased The PDQ Vegetarian Cookbook. The recipes are fast, delicious, healthy and easy to understand and prepare. I use my book everyday and enjoy it tremendously. I feel empowered and more in charge of my health and the health of my family. A vegetarian/vegan lifestyle doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming. This book has boosted my confidence level in my kitchen. My two daughters have already requested copies of their own, when they move out. Thank-you PDQ!
