For a first time pressure canner user, I found the product to be wonderful - the booklet of instructions was easy to understand, and it seemed flawless - even though I was nervous at first try. But now after using it several times I love it - makes canning so much fun!

This reasonably priced canner works exceptionally well. It reaches the desired pressure quickly, and maintains the pressure at at very low heat setting, making it energy efficient! It is easy to use as well.

The Presto 16 quart pressure canner is perfect for me and my wife. I have a medium size garden and canning pints works best for us. Once in a while we will can quarts of spaghetti sauce or chili.
The canner is pretty simple to use and operate durring canning. It holds 10 pint jars and 8 quarts. It does have a dial and not a weighted gauge but that doesn't bother me. Both types of gauges will work fine. It has a weighted pressure regulator and a saftey pressure plug for saftey. As long a you follow the instructions, you will do fine.
In a nut shell. It's a very good canner for the price.

you can get this at wal-mart for $64 and some change! i have not picked one up yet as i am trying to decide if i want a weighted gauge or dial gauge, i think i am leaning towards a weighted gauge, seems more simple and dependable!
