Product Description
This shovel-like tool makes cooking and scooping in a hot wok quick, easy, and efficient. The wooden tip prevents spatula from getting too hot to handle. The contour and sloping sides fit well into the curved wok. 14" length (the most common household size) can be used in a 12" or 14" wok and 16" length for 16" wok. Larger sizes also available.

5 out of 5 stars How Well Designed!   November 3, 2008
Jay C. Hansen (Salt Lake City, UT USA)
This chuan could not match the curvature of the fine wok any better(I got
both from the Wok Shop, which I also highly recommend). One caution: pound
the wood handle into the metal portion of the handle quite vigorously or you may have it detach. After my first use I didn't have a problem.

2 out of 5 stars Wooden handle falls out   July 20, 2008

While the metal part of this spatula is fine, the wooden part does not stay in. I find that I have to bang the wooden handle in every time I cook with this tool. That is a hassle!

If you are in need of a good tool to be used with a cold-rolled steel wok, this is a perfect. It's well made and reasonably priced.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome wok spatula   September 17, 2007

I love this thing. Makes me feel like I work in a chinese restaurant! The curve at the tip fits the wok perfectly and makes it easy to stir fry with. The wood handle comes unattached and you have to press it into the metal handle when you get it, but so far it is holding up well.

If you own a carbon steel wok, you may as well add this spatula to your cooking tools. It works much better than a long handled metal spoon and is certainly safer than using a standard stainless spatula. Instead of stirring the food around the pan, the spatula helps to toss the food around and get it up on the sides of the wok. It also allows you to scoop out more food than a spoon or regular spatula. I considered purchasing another wok spatula but the handle had an angle that made it appear to be better suited for scooping and flipping burgers on the grill rather than stir frying. Speaking of handles, the one on this spatula may work itself loose after a few uses. If this happens, you will need to bang it against a hard surface to reposition it. I originally gave this 5 stars because I hadn't experienced the handle coming off. I still think it works pretty good but would rather give it 3 stars.
