While the design isn't seamless and round, the masher is very strong, durable, and versatile. Potatoes mashed instantly (unlike wood mashers). I also intend to mash baby food, applesauce, apple butter, yams, etc. It's eco-friendly because you do not need to rely on electricity to puree/mash food.

I used to have the old wire potato masher and when it started to rust I knew it was time to research a new one. I found this one after looking at several others and the reviews on them. I decided on this one and I am glad I did, it works so much better than my old one. I am glad my old one rusted so I could buy this new one. It is sturdy and I like the fact that it is round and I can easily use it in my round cook pans. Don't hesitate to buy this masher you will be happy you did.

I like this potato masher because it's round shape fits into the curve of the pot. It does a pretty good job of mashing but is not perfect.

the product description includes "seamless construction for easy cleaning" -- this is false. At the Y of the handle, the two branches come together into a tight seam that runs up to the handle.
other than that - pretty lightweight little mashes but I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on functionality.
