A complete set of kitchen knives in a 6-slot dark grey wood block with a matte aluminum base: chef's knife (8" blade), Santoku knife (6 " blade), carving knife (6" blade), bread knife (8" blade), serrated utility knife (5" blade), and paring knife (3 " blade). The ergonomic handle design was developed in consultation with professional chefs and is accentuated by the fluid shape. The precision forged blade, double bolster (between the blade and the handle and at the end of handle), and tang are married to the handle, triple-riveted to the fully-visible tang. The knife handle is manufactured from African blackwood, an extremely dense wood with minimal porosity and high resin content which makes this species of wood highly moisture resistant. The dark brown hues with distinctive wood grain markings make every knife unique.
Use the paring knife for paring, peeling, trimming, and dicing fruits and vegetables. The utility knife's serrated edge cuts easily through sausages without tearing the casings and is also excellent for slicing tomatoes, fresh rolls or bagels, or your favourite hard salami. The carving knife is used for carving hot or cold meats, turkeys, hams, and roasts, assisted by the carving fork, as well as cutting sandwiches. The chef's knife is used for cutting, chopping, slicing, and dicing fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry.
