Product Description Introducing the latest from Chicago Cutlery, designed for professional performance in the home kitchen. This 7.5-in. Paring Knife is designed chopping, dicing and mincing food, and is slightly smaller and lighter than a typical chef's knife, for ease of handling. Each knife is handcrafted with a high-carbon 420 stainless steel blade, ergonomic, contoured walnut handle, full tang (where the blade extends from the tip of the knife to the end of the handle) and triple compression brass rivets. Exclusive Taper Grind edge ensures maximum precision and extra sharp cutting.
Amazon.com Review For zesty chicken shish kabobs, chop onion and bell peppers, dice meat, and mince garlic with this attractive chef knife from Chicago Cutlery. Chicago Cutlery has 75 years of experience, crafting top-notch knives since 1930. The Walnut Tradition 7-1/2-inch Chef Knife exemplifies this lengthy tradition of fine cutlery. Lightweight and attractive, the knife performs a wide array of cutting tasks for virtually any recipe. Craftsmen stamped the chef knife from high-carbon 420 stainless steel for increased hygiene and permanence. The stain- and corrosion- resistant blade then undergoes Chicago Cutlery's special Taper Grind edge process to ensure the sharpest edge possible upon initial use, as well as through years of maintenance. For greater balance and strength, the chef knife benefits from a full tang. The knife handle is composed of beautiful hand-finished, solid walnut, secured by three brass rivets and grooved for a comfortable grip. To preserve the chef knife's effectiveness, the blade should be sharpened regularly. Wash the knife by hand and dry immediately to safeguard the wood handiwork. Store the chef knife in a knife block or affix to a magnetic strip. Chicago Cutlery offers a lifetime guarantee for all knives in the event of faulty materials or workmanship. Upon shipping, this item weighs one pound. --Jessica Reuling

Great knife great price November 21, 2007 Nantol (chicago) I have had my knife for 8 years, and it is just as sharp as it was the day I bought it. I must admit, I wash it in the dishwasher regularly, which greys the walnut finish. However, I hone it before every use. I love the thin blade. My friends with more expensive knifes always comment on how sharp mine are. Tee hee.
should have held off buying! November 12, 2007 Island Cook (Goleta, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am pleased with the Chicago kitchen knife, but a week later the knife was $10.00 less on Amazon.
Great Pickup February 25, 2006 Gift Card (NYC - USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It slices, it dices, it will even carve wood if you need it to. All at an amaizing low price. Great Buy.
A splendid little knife October 6, 2004 Shanny (Missouri USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I like a smaller knife like this with a thin blade, which are hard to find, and the price is right. I use it every day with a wood cutting board, keep it honed and I don't let it go in the dishwasher . . . I've had it a year or so, and it's just like new. My son, who has spent much money on expensive knives, commented on the quality of this knife last week, and will now be getting one for Christmas. You really can't go wrong with this knife.
