I chose this item because I've already owned one before and I think they are great. They come in different sizes, they are easy to use and work very well. I recommend one for every knife in your kit.
I work in a kitchen at the hospital and we all have our own knives laying on our respective cutting boards and I like to have my cover handy for moving my knife from one station to another or heading out for the day and putting it in my locker.

Want to keep your knife in a drawer? Use these plastic covers. They're simple, easy to keep clean, and do exactly what they're supposed to, keep your knife edges protected. Don't bother with a block, use these, save counter space and be done with it. I've owned one for 6 years and it has kept my chef's knife in perfect condition.
Well worth the price.
