Product Description Introducing the latest from Chicago Cutlery, designed for professional performance in the home kitchen. This set of Kitchen Shears adds great convenience in the kitchen. Use them to snip herbs, cut kitchen twine, or trim fat from meat. They're handcrafted with a high-carbon 420 stainless steel blade, walnut handle, and exclusive Taper Grind edge for maximum precision and extra sharp cutting. Shears are detachable for thorough cleaning.
Amazon.com Review These wood-handled professional-quality shears perform a wide variety of everyday kitchen tasks, from snipping herbs to cutting pizza to trimming fat from meat. A notch on the blade secures game or poultry bones, while the handle grips around hard-to-open bottles and jars. Add can opener and flat screwdriver extensions on the handle, and you have an all-around tool that's an essential in any kitchen. Afterwards, the blades un-hinge for easy, thorough clean-up. Chicago Cutlery's Walnut Tradition line of cutlery combines high performance with excellent value. Stamped rather than forged for lighter weight and a more reasonable price, the blades are made from high-carbon 420 stainless steel with carbon to keep edges sharper longer and chromium to resist rust and stains, while Chicago's exclusive Taper Grind edge produces impressively precise slices and retains its sharpness well over time. A full tang extends from the tip of the knife to the end of the handle for improved balance and strength. Comfortable walnut handles offer the rich warmth of wood and a classic look; they're securely held to the blade with triple-compression brass rivets for added safety and stability. Chicago Cutlery covers their knives with a lifetime guarantee; they recommend hand-washing and drying for best results. --Mary Park

Love these shears August 7, 2007 T. Hunter (Phoenix, AZ) They work great, are sharp and perfect for cutting chicken breasts. I wish they didn't come apart though, otherwise, perfect.
Good quality for the price June 8, 2007 earthtiger Good quality steel and very sharp, these scissors are a boon in the kitchen. The opener and screwdriver on the handles are cool but a little risky since they're sharp and pointing to you when you cut.
Great value. May 24, 2007 S. Maguire (Northridge, CA United States) If I had known that I could get such a great kitchen scissors for such a reasonable price, I would have replaced my old one (which cost more than twice as much and was no longer sharp) a long time ago. Sharp. Easy to separate the blades for washing. If you're looking for a good scissors, this is it!
Good but can't cut bones May 8, 2007 C. Shih (Ames, IA) This scissors cut all the skin and meat well but can't even break the bone of roast chicken. It is acceptable scissors for its price.
Great budget shears February 27, 2007 TheLastCoyote (VA) Pros: Inexpensive They come apart to clean!!! Cons: The "handy attachments" on the handle aren't so handy. I will be disposing of my other shears and getting a second pair of these.
