Product Description Panasonic NN-T995SF Luxury Full-Size 2.2-Cubic-Foot 1,250-Watt Microwave Oven
Amazon.com Review This gigantic microwave oven services the family that is constantly eating on the run but has gourmet tastes that go beyond packaged frozen dinners. It is true that the oven takes up a great deal of counter space (measurements are 23-7/8 by 14 by 19-7/16 inches) but much of that space can be attributed to the large interior capacity of 2.2 cubic feet, which can fit an entire meal. The oven operates on a powerful 1,250 watts for quicker cooking and defrosting and has an attractive stainless-steel front and reflective door that looks appropriate in a professional-style kitchen. Most home chefs will find new and innovative features on this microwave that blow away the offerings on their previous models. To figure out the best way to cook a particular food, cooks can access step-by-step instructions on the Menu Action screen. The multi-lingual screen displays information in English, Spanish, or French on how to perform a function. An unusual pop-out dial on the keypad makes entering cooking data easier and softer to the touch. Panasonic's One-Touch Sensor Cooking feature takes the guesswork out of microwave cooking by calculating cooking and reheating times automatically based on the amount of steam released. As part of Panasonic's Inverter Technology, the oven also incorporates a linear power control for even heat distribution so frozen macaroni and cheese doesn't get hot around the perimeter and remain cold in the center during cooking and frozen chicken breasts don't cook around the edges during defrosting. Another major innovation in microwave technology is a warming and simmering feature that delivers low-temperature heat to keep food such as pies, casseroles, or gravy warm without overcooking them. For cooks who are looking for a shortcut but don't want to sacrifice gourmet cooking, this microwave is an excellent option. This luxury microwave oven is covered by Panasonic under a one-year limited warranty while the Magnetron tube has an extended warranty of up to five years. --Cristina Vaamonde

Waste of money March 10, 2008 GoldenEars Pros: Heats well and has some good features. Cons: Died after 14 months of light use. My previous microwave, a Kenmore, lasted 11 years. Wasted my money on the Panasonic. Never again! Avoid it.
Wow! Great microwave...until it burns!!! Warranty sucks December 2, 2007 George Charles (Penna., USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this model microwave after reading reviews that raved about it. It was great for two years until last week when it wouldn't stay running for my mother. It would start, then stop...several times. When I put it on high for 1 minute, it immediately started to smoke from all over the box. I shut it off and unplugged it. Ugh! Now, I'm reading reviews that say that many people have had these, one after the other, and each has died after two years, one year, etc., all in sequence, and that they will never buy one again. It tells me that Panasonic's one year warranty is covering a badly designed model microwave. It's their top model, you'd think that they'd rather put a better face on the company than to put out such an obvious good product with such a fatal flaw. They must not care about their public face to have such a poor manner of dealing with this monster. This has a totally dangerous product failure and an obvious lack of support from the manufacturer. Fraudulently produced product, pure and simple.

This unit does all the things advertised very well. Its one fault, at least on the one I purchased is that when the sheet metal parts were stampeed out they were not properly deburred; resulting in very sharp edges on the door, which can cut the unwary finger or hand as mine did until I learned to be wary of its rapid spring loaded opening. The oven cooks or heats very fast, the fastest I have ever seen.

Easy to use and easy to keep clean. Stainless steel finish is attractive in the kitchen. Replaces a GE model that gave many years of dependable service.
