Product Description This set features 8 Eversharp Pro Steak knives conveniently housed in their own block. Each knife features a full-tang blade fastened to the handle in the classic three rivet style. Blades are 4.5 inch long, micro-serrated, stamped stainless steel. The micro-serrated edge stays sharp for a long time. Great for slicing steak, chicken or other meats.
Amazon.com Review The eight large, sturdy knives in this knife-and-block set easily slice a thick sirloin steak, a lamb chop, or a pork roast into bite-size pieces and provide the hefty feel suitable for diners with hearty appetites. The 4-1/2-inch blades have serrated edges, so they tend to tear meat fibers rather than slice precisely through them, although their microserrations are finer than most serrated steak knives. Fine serrations mean they stay sharper longer. The handles on these knives are classic three-rivet style with full tangs. Henckels International knife lines are made in countries outside Henckels's home of Germany. These knives come from Japan, don't have bolsters, and are stamped, not forged, from stainless steel that is of lesser quality than Henckels's premier lines. The knives are dishwasher-safe (though they should be hand washed to protect their edges) and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. The wood block is 6-1/2 inches high. --Fred Brack

Decent..... March 28, 2008 P. Carberry (Boston, MA) As much as these knives are hyped up, I guess I was expecting a bit more. They feel kind of cheap in your hands and do not have the nice even weight of some other knives I have used. They cut through meats decent but nothing amazing.
good value February 13, 2008 Craig Depies (Milwaukee, WI) I bought some Eversharp Pro steak knifes a couple years ago. The handles for these are slightly different but the set is a good value. I am happy I bought them.
steak knives January 15, 2008 Glenn Leaman (santa cruz, CA) henclels makes good knives. i bought them for that very reason. my son, who recieved them is very satisfied with the knives and the block looks good too! i'll buy henckels again.
Best steak knives December 28, 2007 L. Fennewald (Chandler, AZ USA) I bought these for my mother because she's been using the same beaten up knives for 30 years. I liked these so much, I kept them for myself and bought an additional set for her! Very sharp, nice feel and weight to them.
Very sharp, well made knives October 19, 2007 M. Mackler (Griggstown, NJ) I really like these knives. They go through steak like it's not even there and have a nice hand feel. I suppose I'm from the old school who would prefer their three-rivit handles to be made of resin instead of plastic, but it still looks good sitting in the nice accompanying block.
