Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A wood specialist for more than 50 years, Catskill's experience with select eastern hardwoods sets it apart. The company uses only non-endangered, self-replenishing domestic species, such as hard maple and birch. This adjustable over-the-sink Cutting Board has pull-out plastic wires that adapt to fit almost any sink. It's a great help for cooks who need counter space, as it effectively turns the kitchen sink into a cutting surface. Extension wires extend an additional 3-inches.

Amazon.com Review
This is the perfect cutting board for messy jobs, such as chopping canned tomatoes. Simply extend the rubber-enameled brackets from either end of the board to fit over the edges of the sink. Perfect for a kitchen with small counters or no counters, it's small enough to store in a drawer. --Schuyler Ingle

5 out of 5 stars hard to find   June 24, 2008

Nice board, gives me extra work space in a small kitchen. Hard to find in stores so I bought two. I love it.

so we put it in the dishwasher, and the cheap wood planks separated. it's a sucky little cutting board. don't waste your hard-earned money.

3 out of 5 stars OK, depends on how big your sink is   April 19, 2008
Gil Smuskowitz (Brooklyn, NY)
Having a small kitchen sucks. I thought buying an over-the-sink board will help, but either my sink is too wide, or this thing sucks.
The main problem is that the handles that extend from the board come out fairly easy, so while you're trying to balance the board and fitting the handles to the sink, you'll take them off completely. On my first attempt I thought I had the handles at the right length, but while cutting an onion, the whole thing crashed into the sink. I've become more careful after that, and it's been working fine, but setting it up is a little annoying, and I keep getting the handles out completely. The board itself is fine, by the way. No complaints there.

1 out of 5 stars Dont buy!! I'm sorry I did   March 30, 2007

I bought this for my son-in law for Christmas. He wanted an adjustable cutting board. This one looked nice and sturdy. I am so embarrassed, the board is cracked and warped. I felt horrible that this happened. By February, or even before, it was a piece of crap. I know that I threw out my receipt because I thought it would last a very long time. I bought one made of bamboo w/o the adjustable wires for $10. at The Christmas Tree Store for my daughter. It will last forever, it's beautiful!

4 out of 5 stars Over-the-Sink Board   November 6, 2006

The metal-plastic coated rods at the ends of the board slide very easily inward and outward thereby subjecting the board to fall into the sink.

The board received had an elongated crack! Not worth my time and money to return.

I've learned a lesson!!!
