Product Description Suitable for all quality knives with non-coated blades / Features two slits - 1 for Fine and 1 for Coarse Sharpening / Left and Right Hand use
Amazon.com Review Henckels Twin Sharp Duo knife sharpener is suitable for all knives with a fine edge, with the exception of coated knives. The stainless-steel sharpener comprises two modules, which are marked on the sharpener. The first module features steel wheels for coarse sharpening and presharpening, and the second module uses ceramic wheels for fine sharpening and smoothing. This sharpener works well for both right- and left-handed people, features rubber feet so it won't skid on the countertop, and measures approximately 8 inches across and 3 inches tall, so you can store it in a drawer or display it in a small space. To use, place the knife sharpener on a flat surface, pressing down slightly with one hand. Draw the knife blade with a little pressure towards yourself, repeating up to five times for the dullest blades. For very blunt knives, use the first module and then the second. Knives with a bit of bluntness may require only the first module to bring back the original sharpness. Check the results by cutting into a sheet of paper.

So glad I bought this! September 6, 2008 L. Schwemmer (Colorado, USA) I never knew how much I would appreciate this little sharpener until I started using it. It has become an important part of my kitchen routine in just a few short weeks. Quickly puts a nice edge on all those knives I was thinking needed professional sharpening. Comfortable to grasp and nice enough to leave out on the counter for instant access. I'll think I'll buy one for my daughter--it's such a pleasure to have sharp knives.
Awesome Knife Sharpener August 19, 2008 A. Elder (Georgia, USA) WOW! This is an incredible sharpener. I sharpened all my knives and wow what a difference. I bought one for myself and another to give to someone.
Sharper things August 1, 2008 P. Snyder (Prineville, OR USA) We have a full set of Henckles and needed a good sharpener. This is not the greatest. It will provides a good edge but it takes a lot of work and the edge could be better. Almost sorry I got it. :o<
Pretty Darn Good - but not like "new" edge, but FAST July 26, 2008 Elizabeth A. Philbrook (Pearland, TX United States) Having tried sharpening my Henkle and other knives on what goes for sharpening stones these days (small), the metal in the knives is so hard it can be very tedious and if you are not careful the results are not so hot either. As we don't have a lot of time to spend sharpening, our knives would tend to get dull - which was the reason I bought good knives in the first place. This thing gives like 90% of perfect edge results in less than a minute on touch up, and only a few minutes on truely dull knives - really works great for those who don't have a lot of time. No, its not the same as a factory edge, but its also reasonably priced and works fast. Bonus: Well built, attractive, sturdy, great gadget although my wife doesn't let me leave on the counter you could as its attractive in my opinion.
worn out July 6, 2008 Ruth Bavetta (CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this was great when I got it. Now, after several years it doesn't do a darn thing.
