| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review King James silverware regally complements a formal china pattern, especially one with platinum trim. Oneida constructs the flatware of sturdy brass, then plates it with gleaming, timeless silver. The classic acanthus leaf design, a favorite symbol in the art and architecture of ancient Greece, adorns the pointed tip of each flared handle, which also shows a subtle ridge up the center and a raised outline and neck detail. The dinner fork tines are especially long and graceful, and the dessert/salad fork features decorative notches between tines as well as a scalloped bottom edge. Special events require special tableware, and King James handsomely fits the bill. An excellent wedding gift or upgrade from a daily stainless-steel pattern, this 46-piece set of King James includes eight place settings, a five-piece hostess set, and a wooden storage chest. Each place setting includes a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon. The hostess set consists of a large serving spoon, pierced serving spoon, serving fork, gravy or sauce ladle, and a butter knife. After the festivities are over, the flatware pieces can go right into the dishwasher, although washing good silver by hand is always recommended. Oneida covers the silver-plated flatware with a lifetime warranty against defects, and will refinish or replace any damaged piece that meets with its criteria. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 8 place settings, 1 hostess set.
