SST Water Bottles May 31, 2010 Jack L. Hartman (Northern California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These water bottles were just the right size to fit my belly bag bottle holder. The bottles that originally came with it when purchased several years ago were plastic and I wanted SST bottles instead.
good value. not perfect. December 1, 2009 K.Fantastico (San Jose, CA) i bought 8 of these in a effort to go green.
awesome price. much cheaper that kleen kanteen. i love the look of it and the wide mouth. the clip is flimsy and attachment ends up rusting anyway, so i just removed them. the cap screws on nicely and seals very tightly. no leaks in any of them.
they are pretty thin and the seams look a little questionable, but i don't put them through heavy use and they are used by adults only here.
one point i can make is that i'm way too lazy to hand wash these, so they go straight into the dishwasher like all of my other dishes. i waited to write this so i could see how they have lasted. and after a few months, all are in great shape!
but, my one gripe is that i do taste the metallic taste. or it could be the metallic smell inside the canister. a consequence of dishwashing? i'm not sure, but it has never gone away in my opinion. but that's just me.
Don't put it in the freezer! October 8, 2009 K. Riutzel (VENTURA, CA USA) As others have mentioned, the metal is pretty thin, and there was very slight visible discoloration around the seam that attaches the bottom piece to the cylinder. Otherwise, it seems like a pretty nice paint-free bottle. I bought it for my 14-year-old, who decided to cool his water in the freezer, and forgot it overnight. Although he kept the cap off to allow for expansion, the ice pushed out the bottom and broke the seam, ruining the bottle 3 days after we got it. If you plan to freeze (or use in cold climates) don't fill it more that 2/3 full or it will break. I am considering ordering a replacement of this otherwise decent inexpensive bottle, which my son really liked.

Great....Perfect size. I have washed in the dishwasher many times. Just don't put the top in. Highly recommended.
Great bottle for the price September 6, 2009 Ace Sigma 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great bottle, durable, cleans easily. I hand wash it and usually only use it for water or lemonade or iced tea. I haven't noticed any residual metallic taste or other residual taste. Fantastic value.
