these bottles make a great gift. get ride of the plastic bottles and use these stainless steel bottles instead. not only do you end of saving money but also help save the planet

I just received this bottle and I am extremely disappointed with it.
The bottle is supposed to be 100% stainless steel, but its lip is a different metal from the rest. It is a gold-colored metal that looks like brass. The lip is threaded right up at the top where your mouth goes, so it is sharp and harsh. I can't tell for sure because a heavy coat of paint is covering the outside, but the lip looks like it is probably soldered to the base (I'm not betting that the solder is lead-free, either).
The paint has a defect in it and is already wearing away, right out of the box. There is a large spot where the paint is peeling away from the bottle.
The cap has a cheap, thin washer that doesn't adequately seal the bottle.
When I looked at the box to see more details about who made it, sure enough, "Made In China." I thought I was getting a sale price, and instead I have the hassle of having to send it back for a refund. I also reported the product as unsafe to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
