The perfect single cup tea strainer. September 9, 2007

I've owned this strainer for 10 years and use it several times a day. Its comparatively deep conical shape allows bulk tea to sit deeper in the cup facilitating steeping. I buy bulk tea which is significantly cheaper and has saved me so much money over the years it makes this strainer - an integral part of my tea process - a worthy expense. Yes, conventional flat bottom strainers work well enough, but the water has to be nearly overflowing to get all the tea immersed.
I love this strainer. It's one of two things I don't let anyone else in the house use. (The other is my tea cup . . . humm. I wonder what that means.)
