Great idea! November 4, 2008 April S. Fields (Buford, GA United States) What can I say - this does exactly what I needed it to do. I bought this collapsible strainer for our travel trailer. I needed a strainer that was small and easy to store. It's quite well made and perfect for my purpose but I'd buy another one for my home kitchen too.
very handy item, April 9, 2008 L. Carr (Coward, South Carolina) This is a very handy item to have in your kitchen. I already had the collapsible measuring cups and I just love both items! They save on space and they work like a charm.
Genuine Flexibility in Use and Storage Is the Chief Lure March 24, 2008 Ed Uyeshima (San Francisco, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm moving over to the silicone bandwagon slowly but surely, as my traditional kitchenware is getting replaced with the practical flexibility afforded by the new material. I really like the handle on this one as it allows me to secure it to the rim of the sink when I have a steaming pile of pasta noodles to drain. This particular brand comes in at least four colors if coordinating to your kitchen's decor is important to you. But of course, the draw to this tool is how you can push the silicone out to produce a completely functional colander and then when done, you flatten it back to its one-inch depth for storage. I've noticed it works equally well for cooked vegetables unlike the cheaper plastic varieties. There's a larger model for ten dollars more, but this size suits my needs. Definitely recommended if you're looking to replace the well-worn colander you may have now.
Nice October 27, 2007 EJAP This is small. It is easy to store, dishwasher safe and best part is its so fun to play with!
Overpriced & poor quality September 23, 2007 Sujan (NYC, NY) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this thing cause it was really cool looking and I've heard all these rave reviews about silicon cookware. It would've been a better deal if the craftmanship was better. The inner ring which holds the silicon sieve in place is plastic with poor retainment notches, thus, if you try to drain something heavy, the whole thing plummets out and you're holding this oversized bubble-wand looking collander. Weak.
