This candy dispenser is "just perfect" for the home bar, end table, or coffee table. It is a very attractive piece, standing about 9 inches high, with a silver base and a clear glass globe on top that holds the candy or nuts. It dispenses treats with a smoothly operating ring-shaped lever just above the dispensing chute that one depresses. It is not a children's toy, but it appeals to the child in all of us adults who enjoy our treats within easy reach but with a touch of class.
I have dry-roasted, unsalted peanuts in mine, but the only limitation on what you could dispense with this product is what will fit through the opening. In addition, the dispenser is easy to take apart for filling and cleaning. It is stable on the table, especially when filled, and elicits interest and admiration from guests.
I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but who says I can't enjoy my snacks in middle age from a silver candy/nut dispenser?
