Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Jars with lids are always useful, and this 7-by-9-inch one is a generous size for holding sugar or flour in the kitchen or personal items in the bathroom. This particular jar displays butterflies flitting about a cluster of sweet pea blossoms, one of the newest additions to Portmeirion's Botanic Garden collection. Featuring a mix-and-match 'garden' of more than thirty intricately detailed flowers inspired by 19th-century illustrations, Botanic Garden is perhaps Portmeirion's most classic pattern. Glazed in a glossy white inside and out, the straight-sided jar is crafted of durable earthenware hand-decorated with Susan Williams-Ellis's designs. A signature wreath of green leaves encircles the knobbed lid. Although it's safe for the oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher, the jar will probably end up only in the latter. --Ann Bieri
