 beautiful, but they are HUGE! like 14 inches cake pan sized... December 3, 2008

i actually measured and they're about 13 and a half inches wide which means they're as wide as the typical cake or baking pan is long. this i probably the first time amazon reviews steered me wrong. because i can't imagine anybody using these for every day and what a paint to return them. . they came in a HUGE box. like i thought it was my vacuum. on the plus size they're beautiful, but they're for thanksgiving or christmas sized meals. not every day size meals. or to put a small roast on. they're really more like a platter, than a plate.

I love this dishes. I wanted a more expensive version of this type of dishes. These were very inexpensive and great. They wash well in the dishwasher and seldom chip. I have really enjoyed these dishes.

I bought these to finish off the Pinzon hope chest collection for my daughter. They are of excellent quality and make for a great starter set. Solid quality, nice weight to them but not too heavy like a stoneware. You can dress these dishes up according to the occasion or use for everyday.

These are VERY nice looking but not worth this price when I got them they were way cheaper like $13 for the set of 4.This price is way too much!You can find something similar elsewhere cheaper.

I had need of a twelve-piece service, and found the Pinzon Country Crafts Florentina White Chargers and Salad Plates (the latter are square) for quite a wonderful price. The dishes are microwave, dishwasher, oven, freezer safe. They come packaged extremely well. One Charger was broken (and I am not quite sure how that happened, as the packaging is phenomenal), and Amazon replaced in a matter of days.
The color scheme I chose, Florentina White, goes with a number of other colors as well as styles.
These dishes can be used for casual dining - family dinner during the week; as well as for formal dining - company dinner, Holidays, etc.
My favorite thing about these dishes are that they are very heavy, sturdy, solid dishes.
I highly recommend both this set, and any set made by Pinzon.
