What a disappointment.
This is a lame "second" class set.
it's NOT the Good English made Churchill is was trying to match up to my old set.
It's ok for the kids but not your Mother-in-law!

Overall, these plates are quite attractive. I have found only a couple of minor smudges of the print design on the front. However, there are several rough spots on the backs and edges of the plates (glaze imperfections, small chips, etc) that are quite noticeable and may bother some people. They have a fairly substantial weight to them and have a nicely scalloped edge. "Made in Colombia" is stamped on the box they came in and on the backs of the plates. For the price, I am pleased with these plates. However, for those looking for perfection, I believe these may be factory seconds.
