The outside of the mug can come off if cleaned in the dishwasher or with anything abrasive (as the box warns)--so just use soap and water. I assume this is why the other reviewer had a problem. Otherwise it's awesome. The cat "disappears" pretty well, although the ink isn't 100% invisible (it turns into a very faint yellow tinge). Still, good enough to be pretty amusing (to me) and worth the money.

I used it twice and the second time I hand washed it all of the picture on the mug came off. I'm really pissed.
