The manufacturer's packaging says little else besides the specification in large, bold font that these cups hold 8 ounces. I put them on my wish list to use for double espressos and cappuccinos, for which even 6 oz means a little more ceramic than I'd really like to have sucking my heat or snagging my foam or my "crema" (as we espresso geeks call the light brown espresso foam that comes at the tail of a well-pulled shot). Now after reading the reviews of other cups I see Amazon has wrongly specified a lot of their cups. I'd suggest Googling the brand and make and trying to confirm a spec before you buy anything besides a classic 2 oz espresso cup from Amazon. Otherwise, they're nice cups. Rustic, not too polished. I don't actually know that terracotta handles hot liquids well (didn't think before wish-listing).
