Product Description
Following the success of the Nova Brown pattern, Sango has come up with a new design also inspired by handcrafted pottery. The simple shapes provide uniformity and a sense of calm, while the reactive glazes make each piece a unique expression of ceramic artistry. Contrasting matte and gloss textures add another layer of interest. Tones range from pale ochre to rich brown to hints of purple and blue. Due to the nature of this product each piece varies in color, there are also minor surface irregularities.

We love the Sango Splash set. It looks even better in person. The pitcher is beautiful, heavy and durable. I'm SO glad we went with this line and have more listed on our wish list for future purchases!!

I had thought that this would be glazed, just like the Sango Nova pitchers I'd bought. Also, the product picture and description gave me the impression that it was glazed.
The only part that is glazed is the very small "splash" part of the design on each side. The entire rest of the pitcher is very rough and raw -- both inside and out.
Is it possible that I received a defective unit? If so, I beg for an owner of this item to pleasepleaseplease post that clarification. (I could then simply order a replacement.) Otherwise I'll have to view that the whole line of Sango Splash pitchers is like the one I received - ie with this rough texture that is abrasive to the touch.

Agree, that everyone thinks my sets is handmade. I do have a few pieces that chipped. But still love it and did not see anything anyware else that I like as much as this. I have one pitcher and considering get another one, I have most of the set. I love it, just feels expensive and I feel proud when I serve people with it.

I own most of the Sango Splash (Brown) pieces. The pitcher really completes the set table. I own two of the "Splash" pitchers. Both have more obvious brush strokes than the dinnerware pieces but, when on the table with the entire set of dishes they coordinate beautifully.

Just about everyone thinks that the Sango Splash pieces are hand turned pottery.I use the entire set for daily ware and have had no issues at all washing mine in the dishwasher.
Another review stated that the Sango Splash chips. I sure haven't experienced that at all. However..sometimes in shipping pieces are flat out broken to bits. Mostly it appears to be a faulty packing job. But Amazon cheerfully and quickly replaces any broken pieces at no charge or hassle. Now if this is too much work for you, then try another product. But the Sango Splash WILL get you ooh and ahhhs from your guests.
