Wonderful Bowls! August 14, 2008 Goat Lady (West Virginia, USA) I love these bowls - heavy, always useful and the 3 sizes are perfect for mixing, storing and serving. Pretty enough to use as serving bowls. I own two sets of these bowls and use them daily.
happy with the bowls January 7, 2008 Shelly M (Phoenix, AZ) I have used these bowls and I love them!! A little heavy when you are used to corelle that matches them. Just remember not to use metal utensils in them it causes scratch marks, that way they stay nice for a long time.
Great set September 18, 2007 A dad of five (Upstate NY, USA) Substantial, functional, and attractive - my wife loves them as an addition to her dinnerware set.
Corelle Stonewear Bowls January 11, 2007 Lisa Lebetkin (West Hartford, Connecticut) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was really worried about ordering this product, because my friend who also has a corelle callaway collection hates stonewear. The corelle callaway french whites are not made any longer and I was looking for an affordable way to stylishly entertain within my corelle callaway pattern. I had to try it out for myself. I was worried that stonewear would be heavy and difficult to clean, so I approached my sinkful of new dirty dishes with trepidation. Situation resolved, I see nothing wrong with my stonewear! It really looks great with the callaway pattern and stacks nicely in the cupboard. I love the seamless blend in my pantry between my corelle and stonewear. As for serving, you can go right from the oven to the dinner table to the refridgerator with these versitile serving pieces. Yes, they are a little heavy, but they are a breaze to clean. My friend is not alone in her admiration for the callaway french whites, but I feel that the look of the stonewear is a modern and attractive update for serving pieces. If you are looking at the three piece bowl set you are probably wondering which is better: the casserole set or the bowls. I'll be honest, I do like the look of the casserole set with the handles and lids, but these bowls will serve a much needed function in your cupboard collection. The sizes are REALLY varied. Whatever size you want to serve your food, you will have a bowl to fit it perfectly. The graduated sizes will blend with your two ramekins sitting inside them for easy storage space and more serving options. Easy and breazy to clean. I own two corelle callaway stonewear baking dishes, the mixing bowls, casserole dishes and the ramekins. I recommend all of these. I also have the napkin holder which is cute but not highly recommended. I do not recommend the stonewear salt and pepper shakers, as they break easily and you can't tell one from the other. Go on ebay and find the hunter green and white tupperwear salt and pepper shakers. I also do not recommend the stonewear spoonrest, as it is easily breakable ( if you have a cat who knocks things off the counter). If you are a collector of corelle callaway things, hunter green tupperwear will make you look like a genius. My other favorite corelle coordinates are the soap dish, scour pad holder, corelle serving bowls and serving trays. Happy shopping!
