Product Description 20 Piece Corelle Impressions Dinnerware Set, Callaway Pattern, Green Ivy &White, Consists 4 Of Each 10-1/2" Dinner Plates, 7-1/4" Salad/Dessert Plates, 18 OZ Soup/Cereal Bowls, 6-1/4" Saucers & 9 OZ Cups.
Amazon.com Review Dressy enough for entertaining and durable enough for everyday use, this pretty dinnerware set from Corelle brings a little of the outdoors to the table. Imagine the dark green ivy climbing a classic brick building on the Oxford campus. That's the sort of charm wrought in the Callaway pattern. Coordinate this set with other pieces from the Callaway pattern, or let it stand on its own. With service for four, the 20-piece set includes four place settings, each with a 10-1/4-inch dinner plate, 7-1/8-inch salad or dessert plate, 18-ounce soup or cereal bowl, 6-inch saucer, and 9-ounce mug. The Callaway pattern features dark green rims, scalloped perimeters, and green ivy leaves and stems. Fear not about the colorful dyes used on the dishes. Corelle uses only food-safe enamel pigments and fires them directly onto the dinnerware. As a result, the colors won't fade, scrape, scratch, or wear off. Famous for its ultra durable, chip- and break-resistant dinnerware, Corelle thermally bonds three layers of glass together to produce unparalleled strength in its dishes. Because of this process, the dinnerware set is tough enough to use for reheating food in conventional, convection or microwave ovens. The set is also safe to use in the dishwasher and comes backed by Corelle Livingware's three-year warranty. --Betsy Herring What's in the Box 4 place settings. Each place setting consists of: 10-1/4-inch dinner plate; 7-1/8-inch salad/dessert plate; 18-ounce soup/cereal bowl; 6-inch saucer; 9-ounce mug. 20 pieces total.

Helpful for families short on cabinet space September 9, 2008 Mom of Six (Arizona United States) I ordered two sets of these for our family of 8, in hopes of saving space in our kitchen cabinet. I am mostly happy with this set, and plan to get more. I think another reviewer mentioned that the green looks darker on the computer image than in person, and I find that to be true. In real life, the pattern looks more delicate, not as bold, but it does look good. My set was packed well enough to arrive in good condition. I purchased this set with teacups in hopes that the cups would be made from the layered glass that are used for the plates. Unfortunately, they are made of stoneware, and two or more or the eight have chipped after only about a month. My older children, our 5, 7, 10 & 12 y.o. help with the dishes, but are not rough with them. The first cup that chipped toppled off the cabinet shelf accidentally when my 7 year old was removing some to set the table. I don't know how the next one chipped, but based on our short time with the teacups, I don't expect them to last as long as the plates & saucers. The chips are minor, however, and do not prevent us from using the cups. They just don't look new anymore, which is unacceptable so soon after purchase. This is very disappointing to me, as I've seen this line, Corelle, advertised as good to use with children. A stack of 8 of the dinner plates is light and small enough for any of my table-setting aged children to carry easily to the table all at once. By the way, I HATE PLASTIC, how it looks, feels, and falls over easily, so I will continue to search for space-saving, kid-friendly cups & glasses. Come to think of it, I have some 16 ounce, thick, Anchor-Hocking water glasses, a set of 4, that have lasted over 13 years now with not a chip or crack. All are still in use, and look like new. Maybe I need some more of those... Overall, these plates look good, and are improving my limited space problems nicely. I plan to buy more.
After 13 years, still looks new August 7, 2008 Lulu (The Rat's Mouth, USA) I simply can't say enough good things about Corelle dishes. Of course, this review specifically refers to the vitrelle glass dishes that are available in many patterns (including Callaway), and not the stoneware dishes that Corelle has recently introduced. We've had our Callaway dishes for the past 13 years (since the pattern was introduced). In that time, we have used them every day, put them in the dishwasher and the microwave, dropped them, cut food on them, and generally subjected them to the sort of wear and tear that you should be able to mete out to dishes. After 13 years, we never broke, chipped, or cracked a single dish, and the only signs of wear were some light gray marks from stainless steel utensils constantly scraping against them. Some barkeeper's friend and lots of elbow grease banished the gray marks, and now they truly look as good as new. I grew up with Corelle wear (as so many of us did), and don't remember having to throw any away because of chips, cracks, or breakage. Typically people get rid of their Corelle dishes because they're simply sick and tired of seeing the same pattern day in and day out! Take a look at all the 30+ year old patterns in superb shape in online auctions every day, and you will realize just how long this stuff can last. In addition to being supremely durable, Corelle dishes are also thin (take up less room in cabinets), light, and much less expensive than even the most casual stoneware (and the cheapest stoneware will usually chip and break to beat the band). I really can't think of anything negative about Corelle dishes made with Vitrelle. They are quite simply the best.
Love it! June 15, 2008 Dawn M. Dean (Wonder Lake, IL USA) I've had my set for almost 8 years now and the only pieces that have broken are the glasses which I'm not even sure are actually made by Corelle. This set has survived 4 moves, a lot of guests, and my toddler who puts dishes in the sink roughly when I turn my back. Other than the broken glasses, my set doesn't have even the smallest chip!
20 piece Corelle dinnerware April 27, 2008 John Lucarelli The dinnerware was delivered exactly on time and in perfect condition. I bought it as a present for my son and his bride. They are delighted with it.
Very durable! December 15, 2007 Maggie Ogier (Orange Park, FL) I admit I have dropped them, nicked them on the counter, and scrubbed them where the enamel should have come off of them and they have so far survived unbroken, chip free, and still look terrific! I've had my set for about 5 years now and I still love them. My mother even wants to replace here worn out dishes with a set, so guess what she's getting for Christmas. I also love that there are soo many different coordinating pieces. I just ordered the baking dish and casserole sets too for myself. Can't wait :) One thing I do hope is still the same, mine are stamped made in the USA. Always a benefit! I did read however that a buyer of the gravy boat said China... OOoo! and if your mother is a fan of white stuff like mine is, it coordinates well with the CorningWare French White collections too!
