 DO NOT BUY BREAKABLE ITEMS FROM AMAZON October 16, 2008

In the last year of ordering correlle abundance items as gifts for my mother in law from Amazon, they have managed to pack absolutely nothing securely. The latest blunder being the packaging of a ceramic baking set, which they dropped in to a cardboard box and applied one thin sheet of styrafoam packing. Getting this item replaced has been a 3 month nightmare, ending with Amazon telling me sorry for the trouble we can't meet our obligation to you, here's your money back. 100% unacceptable from a retailer who use to carry such high standards in customer service.

I have used Corelle dinnerware for years. When it came time to buy a new set of dinnerware the only decision was which pattern to choose. The Abundance set is attractive and the Corelle material is lightweight & durable. I will purchase this type of dinnerware whenever the need arises.
corelle dishes and bowls May 2, 2008

The dishes are wonderful. But when received them, they were poorly packed. Two heavy boxes together in one box with a small amount of packing between them. There were nothing to cushion top, bottom, or sides of the box. So one of the dishes had a chip on them and the bowls that were in the other box broke. Amazon needs to pack boxes better. My next set of dishes had nothing to cushion top and bottom but arrived okay. Same with replacement set of bowls. (3 instances where they were poorly packed).

My mother who lives with us has Parkinson's disease. Her tremors are to the point that the glaze on my stoneware was cracking and chipping so I had to throw away several pieces of my American Made stoneware.
Corelle is perfect, it doesn't chip and it saves a ton of space in my cabinet. It fits into the dishwasher much easier than the soneware does.
I highly recommend Corelle, still American Made.

Ordered 4 sets, about 60% of all the large plates had what looked like blue paint streaks across them that were very noticeable. Also agree with other reviewer that when utensils hit the design it is like fingernails on a blackboard. Ended up getting enhancement pattern and absolutely love them, simple yet elegant. Amazon was outstanding (as usual) as far as their customer service in returning the defective plates. My favorite place to shop.
