Product Description Do you get tired of emptying your closet for your hand vacuum just so people won't see the eyesore lying around? Well, thanksto Dirt Devil you can reclaim your dignity. Dirt Devil had famed product designer Karim Rashid create the KONE, a cordless hand vac unlike any you've seen. It is an elegant, sculptural form that can be left on display - on your table, shelf, or counter. That way, your hand vac will always be charged and ready for use. No more searching a closet only to find an unplugged unit. The top of this sleek, sculptural piece is the handle of the hidden vacuum; it easily twists off the plug-in charging base. There are never any bags to replace; instead, Kone has a permanent, washable bin. The tip is rubberized for close cleaning without scratching surfaces. The power cord is hidden on a wrap under the 8" diameter base. Who is Karim Rashid? He is a leading figure in the fields of product, interior, fashion, furniture, and lighting design. He is best known for bringing his democratic design sensibility public use. Designing for an impressive array of clients from Alessi to Georg Jensen,Umbra to Prada, Miyake to Method, Karim is radically changing the aesthetics of product design and the very nature of the consumer culture. With numerous design awards, his work is in the permanent collections of 14 Museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco. The Dirt Devil Kone is his most recent accomplishment in adding excitement, color, and ease-of-use to the hand-vac. 1.5-inch nozzle width Replaceable filter Dirt Devil 3 -Year Manufacturer's Warranty (Parts and Motor) Plum color

The Very Best!!!! November 2, 2008 Mary A (New York) I bought this hand held vacuum for two reasons: 1) because it was SO stylish, and 2) because I needed to clean up after my bird. I am so impressed with this vacuum - it sits out on my glass table in the office/bird room and it looks lovely! Then after I've used it for a year, I see the equally lovely Kruz designed by Karim Rashid, and I couldn't resist! This vacuum is WONDERFUL for my wood floors, for picking up hairs in the bathroom, and for crumbs in the kitchen. Sometimes I even use the hand-held to clean the filter in the Kruz! Wonderful products - and REALLY worth the money!
Looks lovely, works ok October 3, 2008 Shannie AKA 'TheJavaGoddess' 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had it for a year, and while it doesn't clean or handle quite as well as traditional models, it performs nicely after you get used to it. It's movie star looks make up for any bad press.
Great design but recalled October 3, 2008 ebays filipinagoddess (Jacksonville, FL) The most current consumer reports deemed this unacceptable & they're pushing for a recall - I can't remember the details but it had to do with certain parts that come off. I was going to buy this until I read the article, so buyers beware
Big Disappointment June 20, 2008 E. Mcbride 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this because I was tired of lugging around a big vacuum hose to get corners and hard to reach spots. This doesn't do much better. Not very powerful. The little bag fills up fast. I've been really disappointed with it.
Kone February 25, 2008 JMT (NM USA) I love it! it works and looks great. picks up almost everything in it's path. the only thing is I have arthritis in my hands so I can't use it for for a prolonged amount of time but it was definitely worth it..
