Nice little steamer November 11, 2008 customer I just purchased this steamer based on the high reputation of the brand name. I found it to be extremely easy to use, and that it was comfortable in my hand. I never felt that it was dangerous and never felt the heat on my hands. It worked extremely well on natural fibers like wool or silk, as well as most knits. I didn't have great results with man-made fibers.
do it... do it... October 16, 2008 Stefan Stefanoff (ny) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
ive owned this steamer for about a year and unfortunately left it in the hotel of my last european vacation. I use it for basics, button down cotton shirts, touching up suit pants and jackets and it works great. It has good steam pressure not like some of the other ones that just tricle out steam with no force. And as far as the temperature goes do not get near your skin it will burn the hell out of you.
Great product for the price August 26, 2008 K. Krzic (Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I cannot stand to iron so I decided to try this product. It's great! And at such a great price! After taking 5 minutes to read the instructions (based on some of the strange reviews, I wonder if everyone does this...), I filled it with water and steamed a pair of pants. Tons of wrinkles came out within a few minutes. Make sure you hold the fabric and pull it tight when you steam or it probably won't work (again, this is in the instructions). I have small hands and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and easy it was to use. The steam is far from the handle so you don't need to worry about getting burned. Keep in mind that some items will be defective, that's just the way it is with anything electronic. Remember to register your product as indicated inside the box. Rowenta is a reputable company and I'm sure if something is wrong with this they will send you a new one. And don't expect this to work like a $200 full-size steamer either.
I love it! August 7, 2008 Kelly (CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is great and very convenient if you only need to iron 1 to 2 pieces of clothing each time because the water tank is very small. I use it to quickly touch up my clothes before I put it on each morning. It just takes a couple of minutes. Also, make sure the rubber stopper of the water tank is pushed back in the right position, otherwise, there will be no steam. I made this mistake and thought that the steamer was not working!!!!
what's the point? August 3, 2008 Daniel A. Shockley (New York, NY USA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I don't see the point of this product - it takes a lot longer to remove wrinkles with this thing than it does to get out an iron, wait for it to heat up, and lay a shirt out and iron it. It would take me at least 10 minutes to get the wrinkles out of ONE shirt with this steamer - and even then it wouldn't look as good as a 5 minute or less ironing. I had to return it - what a waste of time.
