wast of my time. October 10, 2008 Vicki Scruggs (Alabama) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was excited when I saw this steamer for it's price. It is just terrible. It does not hold very much water and it leaked every where. I followed all the directions and I never saw any steam. I am going to take it back to target today. I went to wal mart to find one there and I bought the Conair Compact Garment Steamer. It works great, is compact and holds a lot of water. It is just as powerful as the larger ones.
Handy for Quick Jobs May 28, 2008 Wendy (Salem, MA United States) First, I can somewhat understand the other reviews, but I would (respectfully) question the type of job they gave it. This isn't a full-sized, powerful steamer and it won't do well at pressing a blouse that was taken from the dryer and left in the laundry basket under other stuff--especially not for a banker to wear. I've used it, however, for touch-ups on things that have been hanging in my closet but got squished and had the sleeve accidentally crumbled between things, etc. For those kinds of quick, maintenance jobs when you're just trying to get out the door in the morning, it's PERFECT. It heats up quickly, it's easy to maneuver with its light-weight body and comfortable handle, and it will send out a good amount of steam if you pump it a few quick times in a row. I just keep a blouse on the hanger and pull the fabric taut when needed. This steamer will refresh creases when pressed against a surface, too. As one reviewer mentioned, it will spit water, but only when used on the lower settings--it's especially good on cotton and linen. It doesn't hold a lot of water, and if you use it like I do you won't need much, but it's easy to refill even when hot. Not a bad buy at all.
Total Waste of Time and Money January 7, 2008 Emerson at the beach 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This small piece of worthless plastic gets horrible reviews on other consumer sites. It uses a water gun like trigger that barely spits out any steam on "Max." I'm amazed they even sell this. Mine is on it's way back to Target in 10 minutes.
waste of time and doesn't work very well December 23, 2007 Kathy Zimmerman (Hudson, MA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had to run it over a shirt 5 or 6 times, and it barely worked. After trying it for 15 minutes without any success, I ended up using a traditional iron. Traditional iron gets faster results. Don't bother with this product.
