Product Description During a power outage due to a natural disaster or other causes, loss of fans and air-conditioning makes life miserable and can be dangerous, especially during stifling, sizzling summer heat when it becomes harder to breathe. Take your personal cooling system with you wherever you go for reliable comfort. The blades are clear and safe and the bottom is nice and flat so you can stand it on your desk next to you. Keep it on your night stand. Stand it up next to the stove in the kitchen. Keep it next to your bottle of water by your yoga mat. Great for sporting events, kids, outdoor activities, and at the pool. Easy to carry Doubles as a drinking bottle Turn off the fan & use it to mist your houseplants Color - Transparent Blue Size - 11 tall Requires 2 AA batteries (not incl.)

What A Waste! July 31, 2008 Mom of all sports (Muskogee, Ok ~USA BABY~) I bought 2 of these fans @ $7 each. The water leaks out!! My daughter used hers for about 10 minutes and the fan quit working. The on/off button on my sons broke after the 3rd time he turned it off. Don't waste your money.
Same as Brookstone's?? July 30, 2008 CA reader I bought a fan that looks just like this at Brookstone's except Bookstone's has a carry-strap so it may not be the exact same fan. At any rate, I'm not having any of the problem's detailed by the other reviewers. So far, no parts are falling off, it doesn't leak and it works perfectly. If you ever feel suddenly hot and want to stop that sensation dead in its tracks, Brookstone's fan will do the trick. The combination of mist on your face coupled with the breeze from the fan feels instantly chilling. It's wonderful. Much better than anything that simply moves air.
An ALMOST good fan... July 12, 2008 C. Wright (Mountain View, CA United States) I have bought perhaps 6 of these, and on one the squirter stopped working, though the fan kept going. For a (then) $7 investment, I didn't feel like taking it apart and reattaching what came loose. The other ones I bought, for up to $10 each, at local stores, have held together, and the two I bought for relatives have kept working. My elderly mother, who has mid-Alzheimer's, likes it enough to actually learn how to turn the power on/off. She loves these things! Buttons are not her forte. PROS. I think the wind speed is fine, and the overall effect is refreshing, especially if you put ice in the water. Water goes in bottom, with large opening. Did not notice leaking, other than when water is sprayed around. The clear plastic fan looks nasty once it gets going...very fast, but it can be easily stopped with fingers. Doesn't hurt at all. CONS: Tf you squirt without the fan on, the spray might hit the stationery fan blade and just leak. Move the blades a bit. As others have said, I would not be surprised if it stopped working. It LOOKS so cool, and people often stop me to have a look a it. A gal with hotflashes LOVED it. If there is a unit, even at 2-3 times price, that is made to last, I'd buy it. Suggestions??
All around Poor Product August 14, 2007 Sam Snead (Atlanta, GA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Although the fan spins rather fast it produces almost no breeze. And the spray bottle is not a mist, rather a fairly concentrated stream. The effect is the same as if the fan were not even on and I just squirted myself in the face. Kind of defeats the whole purpose. A very poor product that I won't get any use out of. Also the bottle leaks and the battery compartment won't stay closed.
I agree - Don't Waste Your Money June 26, 2007 M R S (Cleveland, OH USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought this for our trip to Disney. Luckily I tried it before we left. The mister didn't work properly and actually sprayed backwards! Returned it and the second one fan fell off! Don't waste your money!
