Amazon.com Review
Able to operate on three different power sources, this versatile footwear dryer works on the soccer field, a camping or hunting trip, or on a multi-city golf tour. A six-foot AC adapter cord allows indoor usage, while the included 12-volt car adapter takes it on the road. For ultimate freedom, the dryer runs on four C batteries (not included). By forcing room temperature air through the vented legs, the unit dries boots and shoes--or even socks, coats, and other clothing--in just three to five hours. The legs extend and prop upright inside any size pair of boots (the dryer may need to lean against a wall for lighter weight shoes), and then retract for compact storage. Ideal for RV travel, the dryer measures 12-1/2 by 8 by 2-1/2 inches and weighs a mere two pounds. DryGuy covers the unit with a five-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars skimama   March 27, 2008
skimama (San Diego)
Really love having a battery operated ski boot dryer - I have fashioned a sling of sorts that hangs in my locker at Mammoth Mountain and position my ski boots above my skis in the locker and then turn on the boot dryer and let it run all night and I have dry boots for the next day without hauling them back and forth every night after skiing.

4 out of 5 stars Best portable boot dryer for the money   March 29, 2007

We recently took this dryer on our family ski vacation and it performed well. It comes with both a/c and d/c cords and takes batteries as well although I can't imagine ever using that feature. It packs away compactly in a ski bag or luggage.

3 out of 5 stars Very Noisy   March 22, 2007

If you plan to use this thing in your hotel room at night to dry boots or gloves, better pack earplugs also!

It blows cool air into the boots and dries eventually. Have used it with the AC adapter, expect the batteries would not last too long and make the until quite heavy.

3 out of 5 stars Wors good- but it's LOUD   March 9, 2007

Excellent for drying boots and gloves, however be sure to have it in a different room, it runs a little loud. Almost too loud- makes it less convenient.

2 out of 5 stars Better Choices   March 1, 2007

I'm a little disappointed in this dryer. I use it for ski boots that get almost daily use. A dryer with heated air would be more effective. It's also quite noisy, and lacks a timer. Though it can't use much power, I wish it would turn itself off after several hours' use. it gets the job done, but spending another $10 would have been money well spent to get heated air and a timer. There are better options out there. The 12v power would let you run it from a car, motor home, or boat, whcih may be useful to some people.
