Amazon.com Review Protect your hands from hot pot handles with this slip-on handle mitt. From Lodge, maker of rugged cast-iron cookware, the mitt features heavy-duty Pyrotex fabric on the exterior, along with a scorch-proof coating. Inside, a thick terry lining feels comfortable against the skin, and thick cotton batting between the two layers adds further heat and steam protection. Heat-resistant up to 495 degrees F, the Max Temp mitt fits over stainless or cast-iron handles, indoors or at the barbecue, and comes in basic black to match any decor. --Ann Bieri

Wonderful September 22, 2008 A. Spears (Chillicothe, MO USA) This mitt is wonderful with the iron skillet I purchased! It has definitely saved on the amount of burns I get from grabbing the handle without it!
Another use.... September 15, 2008 Former Make-up Artist (Los Angeles, CA) I recently bought a tiny, travel size straightening iron (for hair) and I needed something safe to store it in when it's still hot and I need to pack it in my suitcase. This is the perfect size and safety measure. They sell hot iron cases for 3 times the price of this even safer alternative! Plus, when my little iron no longer works, I can use this pot handle for it's real purpose- in my kitchen. Love it for both purposes. I highly recommend it.
A little Loose Fitting July 30, 2008 R. Blais (New England) I used this for the first time today and found it very functional, although a little loose fitting. Be careful when lifting the heavy skillet so that the hangle doesn't turn within the mitt. After five minutes, I mastered the technique.
You can't go wrong July 9, 2008 Nouveau Foodie These are great quality and really protect you from heat. They slip on easily and make for a comfortable grip, too. What more is there to say? You can't go wrong.
Too small to use July 7, 2008 J. Petta (New Jersey) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Maybe I don't know how to use these mitts, but they are tiny--too small to put your hands inside and too small to wrap around the handle to use. I don't understand their use. I unwrapped them before really looking at them or I would have returned them.
