Great tool October 30, 2008 Coderpitt (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to help me determine when I could open the windows and turn on the attic fan without waiting hours for update on the news. I keep one sensor outside and the main unit inside and it has been right on the money every time. The Weather indicator is a bit querky (i.e. raining indoors, etc.), but that isn't what I bought it for. I'm planning on a greenhouse, and it has expansion for up to 2 additional sensors. It's a great deal and a nice hat.
Great Item February 13, 2008 Jeff Heiman (Orlando, FL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This weather station seems to be fairly accurate. I have not had a problem with the range on this item. I would definitely purchase the item again over others if I had the chance.
unbeatable for the money January 31, 2008 Bruce Bolinsky (Toledo, OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I didn't expect a whole lot out of this, but it seems to work as advertised. it predicted a storm the TV weathermen didn't/ That alone is worth something. I particularly like the remote temp pressure sensor. What I don't care for is the prssure only shows a trend. Rising, falling, steady, etc., Not that big a deal actually, but the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.
Oregon Scientific's wireless weather forecaster & Atomic clock January 27, 2008 Marshall Sloan (Fullerton, California United States) Great Item, Just what I was looking for...but didn't know it. I have a large African Sulcata Tortoise and I've built a house for it and installed a heated pad called a "pig Blanket" to keep him (or her) warm during the night especially during winter. The heater is controlled by a timer. But I wasn't sure when I should set the timer to cycle on and off. With the remote sensor that came with the with the weather forcaster installed in the tortoise house I can monitor conditions within and set the heater timer accordingly. The whole family consults the forecaster regularly. Also it is a great tool for teaching youngsters about the weather. We also have a drag race car , we take the base unit with us to the track to watch temp and humidity changes during the day so we can make changes to the car to optomize performance. I do wish it indicated density altitude.
Cool little weather station January 7, 2008 Santa Smurf 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
My husband loves this little gadget, and the hat too. I like the humidity feature, it shows a little frown face when the humidity is too low in the house. I no longer have to run the humidifier 24/7, only when necessary. The only down side is it only comes with one probe. We are looking to purchase extras so we can monitor the temp in the barn too.
