Bought this as a gift for my son and family living in a tornado-prone area. They seem to think is has been useful. May purchase one for our own use as well. Setup seemed a bit complicated at first, but once set, the information provided is good. Separate receiver is a plus, as you can take it with you into your "tornado room".
