it works great! August 18, 2008 A. Deaver (Boston, MA) After trying to make water boil with a similar product - and failing - we purchased this item and it works great! We're redoing our kitchen and are without a stove right now - and at least we don't have to cook everything outside on the grill anymore!
Great during remodeling July 29, 2008 L. Edwards (Pennsylvania) Although this isn't perfect, it has been excellent during our kitchen remodeling. The temperature is more difficult to adjust than a regular stove, but I can cook anything that I would on a stove. It is an excellent value for the price.
Does the job May 15, 2008 Lee Azzarello (Brooklyn, NY) Bought this for a commercial loft space with no kitchen. It's small but powerful and can boil quarts of water in a large pasta pot in about 10 minutes. The only criticism is the adjustable legs are kind of a joke.
Only high and luke warm heat May 6, 2008 April Thomas (Pennsylvania) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Manufacturers of these burners need to figure out that people want high med and low temps. I ordered this one because it was the only one in my price range that did not have the fact that it gives you no temperature control in the reviews. There were some other ones I liked more but I hoped this one wouldn't have the same problem. I am sad to discover that my gamble was fruitless. My stove top does not work and i cannot afford a new stove, so I got this. It will cook my food better than a broken stove, but I was hoping for better quality. I eat rice everyday and I think it will be hard to simmer it on a low heat the way you have to when cooking rice when i can only put it on high. I think i will try to put one burner on and set the pot halfway on the lit burner and half on the cold burner. Its a shame i have to do such a silly and potentially dangerous thing just to cook some rice. please someone invent a quality table top burner!
Handy and functional! April 26, 2008 Deb (Philadelphia, PA) I purchased this to use during our kitchen remodel. Easy to use and not bad to keep clean. Easy to store. Only thing I didn't love is that the knobs are very easy to knock on; so, should be extremely careful to unplug when not using. But, a good item for the price.
