This "frothing" thermometer is useless without the proper frothing temperature range! November 13, 2008 B. Macleod How can a thermometer labeled specifically for frothing not include the critical 80-100 degree range?? I wish I had been more careful before buying this since I simply cannot use it without knowing that vital 80-100 degree range, but who would have thought a thermometer marketed toward one specific purpose would not include the ability to use it for said purpose?
Is it hot yet? October 29, 2008 Michael Lee (Stafford, VA United States) I had previously been using a meat thermometer and a binder clip when steaming milk for cappuccino. This purpose-built thermometer is much easier to use. The large numbers are easy to read and the target temperature zone is highlighted on the dial.
Works Finw October 20, 2008 Diane M. Vergowven (Trenton, Michigan) This thermometer works for the use that it was intended. A little overpriced but hard to find so I'm just glad I was able to find it any price.
Thermometer September 17, 2008 T. Burns Greatest thing ever for making a latte at home. Never liked what we got from our machine, but it's amazing what getting the right temperature for the milk can do - we used to try to gauge the heat of the milk by touch, but using this made it clear that we were way off. It really helps.
cappuccino thermometer August 13, 2008 C. Krieg wonderful little thermometer. Allows you to make cappucino froth just like the big guys. Only consideration is that it is only 5 inches long. Not meant for tall container. Get a frothing cup to fit.
