Amazon.com Review
With a 3-cup work bowl and 240 watts of power, this chopper is ideal for small jobs and for making sauces, frostings, and dressings. The stainless-steel blade's reverse spiral action pulls food down, minimizing scraping and producing uniform chopped meat, nuts, cheese, vegetables, herbs--all the many foods for which the chopper is intended. For adding ingredients while the chopper is running, the lid has two compartments, one for dry items and the other for wet. For precise control, the chopper's electronic pulse pad responds instantaneously. The heavy power base provides stability and is seamless, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all the parts in the dishwasher. The chopper stands just 9-1/2 inches high and has cord storage inside the base. A stiff spatula is included. Should the chopper fail during its first year, KitchenAid's total replacement warranty guarantees delivery of another machine. --Fred Brack

Product Description
KitchenAid's Mini Food Processor is so versatile, it can handle up to 3-cups of ingredients for salsas, sauces, relishes, dips, pesto, baked goods and much more. Use the pulse control for precise operation. A locking domed lid includes a through compartment for adding ingredients as you go and the "reverse spiral action" stainless steel blade pulls food down into the blade and ensures uniform chopping throughout, so you will hardly ever find yourself scraping down the bowl. The KitchenAid quality is especially evident in its construction -- a heavy base adds stability while your processor is in use and the sealed housing reduces noise. When you're done processing, simply wipe off the seamless base and put the other parts in the dishwasher for cleaning. Chopper even comes with a spatula.

3 out of 5 stars Impossible to Clean Adequately   March 1, 2010
E. Aker (San Diego, CA United States)
Here's what I hate about this food processor: outside of its capabilities as a chopper, it is impossible to clean. Our food processor collected a profusion of black mold material inside its handle and try as I might I couldn't put this supposedly contained collection of toxicity close to my food. We finally threw the thing away.

3 out of 5 stars Beware of suction and blades in combination   February 15, 2010
diomedea (Seattle, WA USA)
First of all, it does its job well. I make smoothies, guacamole, hummus and chop veggies with it.

What I don't like is that the center column where the blade sits in the bin is open to the outside. The inside of the blade piece is open. What happens is that liquid gets inside the column and the blade and creates suction. It is sometimes very hard to pull the unit apart to clean and I have cut myself a few times. It has to be carefully cleaned for the same reasons - gunk gets stuck up inside the blade piece and putting it in the dishwasher does not make it sanitary.

I was hoping for something more carefree, which is why I did not buy a big food processor - I've cleaned those before. I still recommend this item, just be careful not to cut your hands if it gets wet inside!

5 out of 5 stars A pleasure to use, and great -looking, too   February 12, 2010
Cathy T, (Atlanta, GA)
It was out of stock from stores so I ordered from Amazon. Arrived with damaged cup (would not lock so it wouldn't turn on.) Company replaced it with no hassle.

Now that I can use the chopper, it is wonderful! A task that used to to take 15 minutes now takes moments. My cheap old chopper was difficult to use and tedious. This one though is easy, fast, makes work a pleaasure and looks fabulous.

Worth every penny!

1 out of 5 stars An explosion and a puff of smoke   February 8, 2010

I bought this chopper on Jan 27th and thought it looked a little flimsy, but had faith that it might work. On Feb 7th I tried bread dough in it. No kidding - there was a puff of smoke, a flash of light, and it died. I am taking it back to Target and getting a Cuisinart. Complete garbage.

5 out of 5 stars Does everything I want   February 3, 2010

I am glad that I went with Kitchen-aid, a brand that I trust. This little processor does everything and it's so easy to clean! It purees veggies and finely chops meat. I bought this to make baby food and it's so much better then the ones they make for baby food. They're just not as strong as a regular one. Definitely worth the money.
