Nesco's 6-quart roaster oven roasts, steams, poaches, and even bakes all varieties of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables. Its extra-high domed cover seals in moisture and assists in self-basting. Heat is controlled by a dial on the front and can be set according to temperature (150 to 450 degrees) or cooking style (slow cook, cook, roast, bake, or steam). Detailed directions and recipes for all types of cooking styles and foods are included. The cookwell removes for cleaning, and the smooth exterior can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge. The best feature is that it does not heat up your kitchen like the oven in your stove does. It is worth having even if you only used it in the summer months. We have two; one for the house and one for our RV. It's a natural chice for use in an RV and can be used outside on a picnic table if you want to. I don't know what people were thinking when they bought this as a slow cooker. To start with, there are two vent holes in the lid. How did they expect to slow cook something for several hours when the lid was intentionally designed to let the steam out? Also, use utensils that are designed for teflon.

Excellent product - does a great job baking small roasts, chicken, ham etc. Removable cookware makes it convenient to go from roaster to table to refrigerator. Highly recommend!

This is the best roaster oven ever made! We have had "slow cookers" before but have never had one like this. We liked it so much we bought 3 more to give as gifts to family! It is so versatile. You can slow cook, roast and bake in it. I am so glad we bought this oven!
