Amazon.com Review One of the most comforting sounds in the world is the bubbling of a coffee percolator at work. And then comes the toasty aroma--it makes for a perfect morning. Percolators have come back to home kitchens, and the Presto 12-cup stainless steel coffee maker is a prime example. Its elegant, hotel-style design brings a touch of luxury to what is for many a daily pleasure. This coffee maker brews up to twelve cups of coffee at a cup-a-minute rate, which it then keeps at a constant, piping-hot serving temperature. An indicator light in the base announces when the coffee is ready. The inner fixtures--the filter basket and perk tube--are also made of stainless steel, rather than the more common (and less durable) aluminum. The power cord is removable to make storage simple. Before cleaning the coffee maker, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Wash the coffee maker with warm, sudsy water and dry it thoroughly; it is not immersible. To preserve the gloss of the stainless steel, do not use steel wool or harsh, abrasive cleansers. The perk spout and filter basket can be cleaned with a brush or pipe cleaner. If necessary, coffee stain remover can be used periodically on the interior surface. The coffee maker measures 10 by 5 by 13 inches (including handle, lid, and spout). Presto guarantees this product with a one-year limited warranty. A simple instruction sheet is enclosed. --Garland Withers

Great coffee maker! November 29, 2008 Kenneth B. Crowell This is a superb coffee maker. We have two and have given two to friends as gifts which they love!
Will Never Go Back To Drip Coffee!!! November 23, 2008 mistymerlot (Alabama) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had purchased an expensive drip coffee maker last year (over $100). I cleaned it regularly, but within about 15 mos. it began to leak! Every drip coffee maker I have owned, (and I have owned quite a few, different brands) I have had problems with. The coffee was never hot enough, and never tasted all that great. I have had this Presto perculator for about 8 months. I absolutely love it! I had forgotten what "real" coffee tasted like. The coffee is nice and hot, and full bodied like it should be. And of course the gentle "swooshing" sound it makes while perking, just takes me back to my childhood. Trust me, if you buy this perculator, you too will never go back to a drip!!!
Presto Percolator November 9, 2008 F. Schieppati (New York) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Much better than the GE and a bit better than the Rival percolators we have owned. Despite the pin-hole basket, it has yet to clog, unlike the Rival which needed much more cleaning. Forget the GE, it's awful.
Very pleased November 8, 2008 C. Ricucci (Denver, Colorado, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Makes a very easy, very good cup of coffee. Took me a few pots to get the coffee measurement just right for my own taste, but once you get that, it's virtually impossible not to get great coffee every time.
I love my Presto percolator! October 28, 2008 Marlene Y. Scott (Spring, TX USA) This Presto percolator makes the BEST coffee - much better than the most popular (and expensive!) drip coffee makers. The coffee still tastes fresh even after sitting in the heated pot for a couple of hours, it doesn't taste burnt.
