Product Description - 6 quart - Round shape - Removable white stoneware - Glass lid - Rinse-clean, lifetime stick resistant coating - 3 heat setting, including warm - Recipes and tips included - White
Amazon.com Review Ideal for a large family or a dinner party, this round CrockPot from Rival is cleanly designed and simple to operate. One dial turns to three heat settings, low, high, and keep warm for serving, and a red light indicates the power is on. The heavy stoneware crock lifts out of the heating base for easy cleaning thanks to a stick-resistant coating, and is attractive enough to serve from right at the table. While the crock is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher, it is not intended for use on a stovetop or under a broiler. With two cook settings, low and high, the pot can slow cook a wide variety of stews, roasts, and soups, recipes for which are included in the owner's guide. The glass lid, also dishwasher-safe, sends moisture back into the pot while at the same time allows contents to be viewed. Easy to carry by means of heat-resistant, flange-style handles, the pot measures 10 inches high by 12 inches in diameter (14 inches with handles). Rival covers the slow cooker with a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

A CrockPot that lasts!* November 16, 2008 Green Iguana (CA) *Unfortunately, I broke this crockpot after many years of good use by taking out a microwave and knocking it straight to the floor. Amazingly, the glass lid did not break at all on impact, just the ceramic pot. I bought this for my mom years ago. She has went through many, many crockpots; different types, makes, models, brands, etc. She said that this was the best one that she ever used (before I broke it) and that it has had the best consistency for temperature and function. (Knock on wood) For that fact, I'm buying another one of these for $15 more than what I previously purchased it for. She loves it and it worked very well, so I'll eat the cost.
Very pleased October 12, 2008 Eric B, (Tenn, US) We've been quite pleased with this item. Its larger than the previous crock we had, so my wife can make even more of her great spaghetti sauce and other delicious dishes. The simplicity of the controls provides enough ways to vary the temp overnight on Low, the next day while getting ready for the meal on High, and on Warm after in case we wanna keep it on for leftovers a little later. I don't think you'll go wrong with this one.
crokpot October 8, 2008 Robert L. Grey (orlando,fl,usa) I have made some delicious meas that my friends have raved about.Easy to use and cleanup is a snap. Be aware of the cooking times. If you cook to maximum hours ,you may overcook.Has low, high and warm settings.Very convenient.
Ok crockpot, but... September 27, 2008 A. Huertas (Hollister, CA United States) I bought this crockpot to replace an older one that went out. I have used crockpots successfully for many years, so this is not user error. The low setting is actually high, and the high is even higher. I have to alter all of my recipes, and my supervision of the crockpot as though I were cooking on high. Many times the food around the sides and the bottom scortches. And yes, I am using plenty of liquid. I would not buy this item again. I will be replacing it soon with a higher quality crockpot.
Defective lids on some Rival crockpots-cookers September 4, 2008 L. Peper Handle on lid of my Rival Crock Pot came loose. Had not used it very many times. Tried to tighten handle but it came apart. Plastic that held it together just crumbled. Apparently the heat from crock pot damaged it although it was used mostly on low and should have been able to withstand the heat. Thinking twice about buying another Rival with that type of lid.
