Wonder Machine! November 16, 2008 Tina Bertram This is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, makes frothy, hot drinks. I have had no problems with it as other reviewers have stated. I use it every day. Beats paying high prices at the store for a cappuccino!
Just in time for Christmas October 23, 2008 C. Brunner I love this machine. We have made several of the recipes in the book that came with it. The cocoa is always just the right temperature! I plan on buying them as gifts for Christmas.
Great little machine! October 21, 2008 A. Armstrong (Cleveland, Ohio) I bought this over two years ago and love it. I hate instant hot chocolate but making it from scratch always seemed to take too long, plus the constant stirring to make sure the milk didn't scorch was a bore. But with this machine I just put everything in, turn it on, and go do something else. I know others have said that they did not think it got hot enough but my machine works great. I find the temperature perfect, hot enough with no need to wait or blow on the chocolate to cool it down enough to drink. I'm not into burning my tongue. I have used all kinds of chocolate mixes in it, even the original cocoa recipe with great results. I have even added liqours like Bailey's, etc. and caramel ice cream topper to it. The only drawback I found is when cleaning the machine it was hard to get into the very edge of the bottom heater plate, but I found if I use a wooden toothpick I have no problem cleaning any residue stuck there. I highly recommend this great little machine!
Mine have all the issues! July 23, 2008 M. Wells (CA) First, I love it--even with its issues. I have two. The second I bought in case the first died. Issues with the first: flaking paint off of the metal mixing blade, spigot broke, can't fill up to line as beverage leaks out of the top, chocolate melts into metal floor of container making it difficult to clean. This one does get the beverage hot enough, however. Issues with the second one: doesn't heat up to get beverages hot enough (have to microwave after), spigot broke, can't fill up to line as beverage leaks out of the top, chocolate melts into metal floor of container making it difficult to clean. This one has a new plasic/rubber blade that doesn't have flaky paint. Another minus for both--you need a Q-tip to clean the small hole from the carafe to the spigot. I still love this but need to get another spigot. The first broke right off and the second is leaking. At least the motors haven't failed or melted any parts. Using this, I like my coffee better than anything store bought.
Loved it; but wish it lasted longer July 14, 2008 E. Ray I got one as a gift, and wondered if I'd ever use it. I ended up using it every morning for my mix of coffee, cocoa, milk, vanilla, etc., and loved it. After about a year the motor seized up, and I threw it out. I bought another one, and after six months or so, it started balking. I was able to correct that problem when I realized the heated bottom surface was flexing upwards slightly and contacting the blender blades, which I then bent up a bit using pliers. That bought me another month, and then one of the little plastic knobs that held the spigot-handle broke off, so the only way I could use the spigot was by removing the handle and raising the plunger with pliers. I WISH THIS PRODUCT WERE BETTER MADE, OR THAT ANOTHER MANUFACTURER WOULD SEE THE OPPORTUNITY HERE!!!
