I should have bought this kettle sooner! It has saved me both time and money. I leave it out on the counter--its modern design fits with our remodeled kitchen--and use it almost everyday. Here is why I love this kettle:
1) I save time because it makes hot water in a snap, much faster than a microwave or the stovetop, and I save money because it is cheaper to operate than my stove or microwave and the measured container ensures that I only heat up as much water as I need.
2) The unit shuts off when the water is done boiling, so there is no chance of you accidentally leaving it on for hours at a time (which I have done plenty of times on the stovetop).
3) It's so convenient that I don't find myself going to expensive coffee shops as much.
4) It's perfect for making tea, hot cocoa, soups and even Jell-o.
5) We bring it with us when we travel by car and camp (we have a power converter for the car). Most hotel rooms don't have a way to make tea in your room (unless you run water through the in-room coffee maker and don't mind your tea tasting like coffee) and boiling water over a campfire is always slow. This electric kettle allows me to make tea on the go or boil water for camp clean up quickly and without the fuss. If you have a vacation home, cabin or RV, this kettle is a must.
6) I have never had any problems with my unit and the thoughtful design ensures drip- and dribble-free serving. The kettle can spin 360 degrees on its base so putting it back is always easy.
7) The transparent water level window is easy to read no matter which side of the counter you're standing on and you always know how much water is in the kettle at all times.
8) The reservoir is plastic so you never get a metallic taste when water is left in the kettle for long periods of time. I have never had an issue with foul odors or tastes coming from the water boiled in this kettle.
9) The hinged lid ensures you never misplace it or drop it in your soup while pouring.
10) The unit always stays cool to the touch even when it's full of boiling hot water.
I have had this kettle for almost a year now and it has been problem-free and fabulous! I am thinking of giving them out as Christmas gifts to all my friends and family this year.

Great! Don't regret paying the extra money. We love this and it is easy to use and really fast. I keep it on the counter and I always have people asking where I got it. Who knew it would be a conversation piece! I would highly recommend it. The dual chamber allows you to fill it less often--very handy.
